Aubrey Wants to Sleep but Doesn't Know How

Aubrey wants to sleep, but doesn't know how.
Throw a bike instead of a kite;
it's easier to calculate kite's area,
and I just applied for a scholarship.

I am one conservation of angluar momentum away
from stealing a decade.

Aubrey wants to sleep, but doesn't know how.
I beg her to learn her needs and wants,
and translate them all in German
for her imaginary friend to understand.

She is one step away
from stealing a decade.

Aubrey wants to sleep, but doesn't know how.
When nothing comes out of me, I remeber the Fourteen Points
and look on them from different perspectives.
I just applied for an incentive.

Mother, forgive me, for I have sinned.
Father, run away, while you still can.
Buy yourself an apartment in the centre of the city
and tell me how that appartment is more important than my sleep.

The Story About a Responsible Father

Once upon a time, in a village far away, lived a man with two most beautiful daughters the Earth has ever seen. Or, the Earth has never seen? Depends what do you mean by Earth.
This man considered any potential lover of either one of his daughters an undesirable alien. He believed that the only male person that has a right to look at his daughters was himself.
Oh, how pretty were his daughters. They were two different pages of the same sheet. One was easy going, other was deliberate. One was benevolent, other was merciless. One wanted her longest relationship to be with a biker, and other wished to spend the rest of her life with a physicist.
Their father prayed every morning that no man ever thinks about his daughters' beauty. For him, they were too gorgeous to experience human loving and admiration. His prays were so sincere that God himself could not believe their candidness, and so he decided to check how serious this man was.
Every Sunday, the man was organising a barbecue for his family. They lived in a medium size house with the biggest yard in the village, that was ending with a cliff by the shore of blue Danube. This cliff was so high, that if an elephant weighted three tonnes jumped off of it, nobody on the cliff could hear any sound as he enters the water. The man could never see any use of such a high cliff.
Two daughters and their father ate vegetarian meat peacefully, when they saw a motorbike at the other side of the yard. It was going fast, so the family soon saw the people that were coming. A tall, strong guy with pitch black hair and eyes, dressed in a leather jacket and skinny jeans was maneuvering the vehicle. The young and skinny man, whose laughter exuded with doubt and whose organs of vision were hidden besides thick, round glasses, was sitting behind and giving directions. At least that is what they saw in moonlight.
The members of the male gender population stopped besides the table dramatically, and looked at their prettier acquaintances. It was love at the first sight.

The big father interrupted the silence: "You can park down there", he pointed his finger behind himself. The biker sat on the motor and turned it on. "It is better if both of you drive; you are heavier, so the gravity will pull you harder", dad suggested. The scientist-like guy sat behind his friend.
They started driving slowly.
"Go lower", the man navigated them.
They went a bit lower.
"Lower, lower", the man continued.
They listened to him.
"You can go lower, there is plenty of space down there."
They added a little gas.
"Yes, that is right. Just a little more.", the father seemed excited.
The duo proceeded to their parking spot.
"Almost there! Go just a bit lower..."
Silence.

Please Knock on the Door

I wish it was winter,
so that I can cover my dog with a blanket
and be cold the whole night.

I'm chasing a light
from the newest iPhone,
but I'm sure I'll be fine.

No one offered you any money;
you weren't born during Berlin Blockade
or Vietnam War.
Even then people were miserable
only because of their stupid clones.

I wish it was winter,
so that all the weak people
could freeze in front of my eyes.

I'm preparing a first strike
against myself,
because you need to see
how bad you are to me.

No one is responsible for your actions.
Since you are uncountable, that means you.

John See(d)s the Light

Today, John thought that he lived on Venus. He was sure that this day will last 5,832 hours in total.
It was tiring to just think how old he will get tomorrow. When you are sixteen on planet Earth, it is hard to live. There is too much stupidity circling around and waiting for your dead flesh to rotten, so that it can eat you. And since you are sixteen, you always seem to have better things to do than fight for your life: go to school, develop your talents, earn pocket money, achieve celebrities' fitness goals, walk your dog, listen to music, read, meet your friends... and above all, not forget about the chia seeds you soaked in the water to eat them the next day for breakfast. But John forgot about the last one.
Suddenly, this day was not unbearable anymore.

Imagine a World Better than This

There was an advertisement the other day
on TV,
not on social networks
'cause we live in the past century,

and it was about velvet curtains.
It said: Why would anyone need curtains
when they can only afford one?
It is sad how this world functions,

so we sell two velvet curtains
for the price of one.

My friend wanted one curtain for the price of half.
Her mother told her: It's impossible.

But she bought four curtains,
gave two to me,
burned one
and used its ashes to label the exact half of the one that remained whole.

Hey person, you are sick!
You separated a perfect pair!
Try to admit it at the Chinese court;
I am sure they will have an answer you can not understand.
Try to explain to the ashes of that poor, velvet curtain
why you have to break all the rules
the television sets for you.
It's sad how this world functions,

so they sold you two velvet curtains
for the price of one.

No, part 2

I don't like to party or do drugs;
for me it's enough to think about your arms
and how desperately I want to be stronger than you
just so I can prove myself to the world.
And how terrible is this world...
I wouldn't understand even if I could.

My favourite pants are somewhere at your house.
They were men's, and you had none.

I pinned a big 'no' on my forehead
just for you to see it.
You can't just read it, you have to comprehend it.
If you don't succeed, stick to pornography.

I'm an Aries, you're a Gemini;
maybe we should fit perfectly
as long as I don't raise my twelve children with you.

In Serbian, 'no' is 'ne',
in Greek, 'ne' is 'yes';
is this really the place I want to stay at?

I Want to Play Cello Up that Hill

Germany is sometimes far away
on a road of broken dreams and no place to stay.
Even thousand kilometers from my homeland
the clock and the weather didn't change.
But who am I to tell?
I got no eyes.
I got no ears.

So don't you bail on me
'cause here I got everything
that I don't want to have.
Here I got everything
up my sleeve.

Germany is sometimes a place to go;
running over old wish, it's very close.
Should I wonder what it's like across the land?
The different conditions,
the developed contradiction,
the clock and the weather didn't change.
But who am I to tell?
I want to Greece.
I want to Athens.

So don't you bail on me,
'cause I have no 'everything';
it's a metaphor for something you've never seen.
You got no eyes,
you got no ears,
I got no 'everything' up my sleeve.

An Honest Response

You're such a bad teacher. I need a break.
You have definitely missed the profession.
When I walk out the door of your classroom,
I know even less than I knew before
your class.

Who pays for additional lessons?
Who pays for wasted time?
My mother does
and so do I.
While you are handling your private issues
caused by life itself,
my mother and I are dealing with issues
of poor reflexion
of your work.
Stop for a moment
and try to think:
do you really want to do this?

Do you want to narrow our horizons
while we haven't even seen them?
Do you want to know what they mean?
For us it means future.
For our parents joy.
For you, it means food on the table
and a new toy
for your baby boy.

If the stars collide at this very second
you wouldn't be the one to teach us about that.
Why?
Try and answer it yourself.
You know yourself the best,
but you don't know me
and you don't know him
and you will never know another person
as little as you know yourself,
because you are not a teacher.

You don't have that heart.
Heart is a muscle, as strong as our emotions are.
Yours is, apparently, to weak for this school.
Go read about methodics and psychology.
Go read about something I haven't heard for
and make me want to find out more.
Let me see you improvise
if you are as wise
as you want us to believe.

Show me that I'm honest for a reason.
Maybe I'll write an individual report this evening.

If it's too much to ask,
you know where the door is.
Walk through them after your next class
and realise if you learned something new.

Oh, well.
What can be new for you?

Pile

Po zelenoj livadici šetao se Pile;
lako, kao vetar, njegove oči mile
sletale su radoznalo s parčeta na parče
zemlje suve već nekoliko dana.
Kuda šetaš, Pile? Šta to lepo njušiš?
Godine su odmicale, a Pile nije znao.
Kada odeš, Pile, sve ćeš da nas rastužiš,
a taj tren samo što na vrata nije pokucao.

Pazi, Pile! Ljuta je oluja
iznad tvog malog raja udahnula svetlost.
Ni ti, ni tvoje oči mile, nemate kuda, Pile;
znaš li da grom briše sve čega se sećaš?
Godine su odmicale, a Pile nije znao.
Godine će odmicati i kad Pile bude nestao,
al' do tada, Pile, mi znamo da si jak
i koliki si na ovoj zemlji ostavio trag.
